Frequently Asked Questions
Does my teen need any experience to start High School Karate?
No experience is needed. High School Karate is built for beginners. We teach technique in stages with proper supervision, so your teen learns at their own pace alongside students at a similar level.
When are the High School Karate classes?
High School Karate runs Monday and Wednesday from 5:30 to 6:15pm at our Salisbury dojo at 655 Toohey Road. Two classes a week is a great rhythm for steady progress.
Is Karate safe for teens?
Yes. Every drill is controlled and supervised, and techniques are taught progressively. Teens learn precise technique in a structured setting with instructors who watch each student closely.
What should my teen wear to their first class?
Comfortable gym wear is fine for the first class. Join during the 2-week trial and the gi (uniform) is free, and we'll sort the belt so they look the part from day one.
How do belts work?
Our structured belt system gives your teen a clear goal at every stage of their training. Each belt represents genuine skill and discipline they've developed. They grade when they're ready, at their own pace, with no pressure.
How much does it cost?
Book your trial: $49 for 2 weeks (save $81), which includes your teen's classes so they can settle in properly before you commit. We'll walk you through the membership options in person. No pressure, no surprises.
Give Your Teen Two Weeks On The Mat
You don't have to decide anything big today. Book your trial: $49 for 2 weeks (save $81), bring your teen down to 655 Toohey Road, and watch how they carry themselves after a class or two. If it's the right fit, you'll both know. Most parents tell us the change at home shows up before the first belt does.
